Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said there will be no talks with PTI unless its leadership tenders unconditional apology for damaging state and public property on May 9 in the garb of protests.

Speaking on the floor of the House during the Joint Siting of Parliament in Islamabad, he said PTI has become habitual in resorting to violence, while reacting to political developments. He said it seems that PTI has become a militant organization instead of a political party.

The Foreign Minister said PTI Chief will have to apologize from the people of Pakistan for setting ablaze and attacking state installations, especially the Jinnah House in Lahore, General Headquarters Rawalpindi, Radio Pakistan Peshawar and private property. He said it is last chance for PTI to prove itself as a political party and not as a violent group.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari once again made it clear that PPP is ready to play any role for the sake of Pakistan, democracy and the rule of law. He said all institutions should also remain within their constitutional limits as enshrined in the Constitution.

The Foreign Minister said Pakistan is facing immense economic crises and we should play our due to role in putting the country on path of economic and political stability.

Taking the floor, Senator Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui said PTI and his chief do not believe in democracy. He said their actions are clear indications that they are not a political party. He said PTI goons desecrated the symbols of defense and pride in the country.

Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiui said Imran Khan would take pleasure for targeting and humiliating political opponents by misusing state power, when he was sitting in the Prime Minister’s office.

Speaking in the Parliament, Senator Dilawar Khan said the sanctity of the parliament must be respected. He said the approach to undermine the legislature should be avoided. He also condemned the attack on defence installations and ridiculing armed forces on social media.

The Joint Sitting has been adjourned to meet again on 10 July 2023.
