Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Arshad Hussain Shah has directed the concerned authority to prepare a comprehensive plan for the maximum production of electricity at the lowest cost in the province.
Presiding over a meeting of the policy board of PEDO in Peshawar today, he said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is rich in large natural resources which should be utilized.
He said urgent measures are needed to make the province self-sufficient in hydro power generation.
Syed Arshad Hussain Shah said maximum job opportunities should be created by providing low cost electricity to local industries.
Caretaker Chief Minister also directed that work on wheeling model should be accelerated to these industries for provision of electricity.
