National javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem met Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad today.
The Prime Minister appreciated him for earning a dignified stature for the country internationally.
He said the whole nation is proud of Arshad Nadeem.
Shehbaz Sharif urged the athlete to prepare with more zeal and dedication for his future ventures and assured the government’s full support to him in all his efforts.
Arshad Nadeem briefed the Prime Minister about the game and his journey to win international accolades.
Arshad Nadeem rose to prominence when he won Gold medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Later, talking to newsmen, he hoped that the government would take tangible steps to encourage and facilitate the talented sportsmen in the country.
Arshad Nadeem said sports should be promoted in educational institutions through regular organizing of events and competitions.
