Various Bar Councils across the country have hailed the nomination of Justice Yahya Afridi as the next Chief Justice of Pakistan.

The Bar Councils of Sindh, Lahore, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bahawalpur, and Islamabad have congratulated Justice Yahya Afridi on his nomination as the Chief Justice and assured their full cooperation.

Vice Chairman of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council Sadiq Ali Momand and Chairman of the Executive Committee Syed Sadiq Ali Shah described Justice Yahya’s nomination as the top judge of the country from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a positive step.

General Secretary of the High Court Bar Association Dera Ismail Khan, Matiullah Rind and Vice Chairman of the Punjab Bar Council Chaudhry Babar Waheed also have welcomed the nomination of Justice Yahya Afridi.

Similarly, President of the District Bar Association Karak Malik Rehman Khattak said the elevation of Justice Yahya Afridi is an honor for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also paid tribute to the Special Parliamentary Committee and the government for the selection of Justice Yahya Afridi.

In their reaction to the nomination of Justice Yahya Afridi as the Chief Justice of Pakistan, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa appreciated the decision, saying it is a matter of great pride for them that a judge hailing from the erstwhile tribal area has been elevated to this coveted post.
