The first Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Chess Championship concluded successfully in Islamabad . In the championship professional category, Sulaiman Ahmed Ashrafi stood first, Sabat Ali second and Salman Ali Khan stood third, while Noor Fatima Rashid stood first, Raja Hattamur Rehman second and Hamza Zaka Mustafa stood third in the women’s and under-14 category.

1st Quaid-e-Azam chess Trophy Rapid Championship organised by the deputy commissioner office, ICP Islamabad and chess federation of Pakistan.


The event took place at Fatima Jinnah park (f-9 park) Deputy commissioner Mr Irfan Nawaz Mamon took personal interest in creating 1st park chess club of Pakistan’s history in F-9 Park. His ADC Mr. Usman Ashraf and his whole team worked with dedication! Capital territory administration is catalyst of a positive change for all districts of Pakistan to follow suit!


Chairman of the Federation Mr Anwer Sheikh while distributing prizes and addressing the participants emphasized that Chess is more a movement than sports and the country,s youth deserved the most .
