The National Assembly resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday evening with Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the chair.

PPP leaders Syed Ali Musa Gillani and Abdul Hakeem Baloch took oath as Members of the National Assembly.

Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf administered the oath.

The House offered fateha for the departed souls of senior journalist Arshad Sharif, officials of security forces, and others. Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali led the fateha.

After taking oath, the newly elected Member National Assembly Syed Ali Musa Gillani thanked the people of Multan for reposing trust in him to represent them in the Lower House of Pakistan.

He also called for collective efforts to control political polarization, hatred and indecency.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Hakeem Baloch said the politics of hatred cannot go anymore in Pakistan.

He said the people of Malir and Multan have collectively defeated the indecency and lies.
