Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has reiterated the commitment to complete the rehabilitation process in flood affected areas with the support of international community.

Addressing the second plenary at International Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan in Geneva, he said even after six months of floods, we are still continuing our relief operation in different areas with a primary focus on feeding affected children.

He said Sindh is the most affected province in the devastating floods. He said the flood damaged the school infrastructure which requires huge funds to rebuild.

The Chief Minister said we received multilateral funding, bilateral financing, international assistance, green financing, and private sector investment. He said the total requirements of Sindh to undertake rehabilitation work in the province stand around over nine billion dollars, while we have pledges of around two billion rupees, facing a gap of seven billion dollars.

He urged the international community to come forward for more contributions to help the people of Sindh. 

Referring to the devastation caused by the floods in Balochistan, Provincial Chief Secretary Abdul Aziz Uqaili said the recovery needs of his province stand at 2.86 billion dollars.
