Germany has pledged to provide 120 million Euro to Pakistan to help fight the climate change.

The promise was made during a meeting between German Federal Ministr for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze and Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman at the sidelines of the Petersberg Climate Dialogue being held in Berlin, Germany.

The two sides also discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries on climate adaptation and mitigation measures.

Sherry Rehman expressed her gratitude to Germany for supporting Pakistan through the Climate Energy initiative. 

The two Ministers expressed optimism about the potential for continued collaboration between Germany and Pakistan to advance efforts in combating the impacts of climate change and building a more sustainable future for all.
