PM lays foundation stones of 100-bed hospital at Police lines in Islamabad today

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif laid foundation stones of a 100-bed first National Police hospital and Model College at Police lines in Islamabad today.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony he lauded the sacrifices of martyrs who rendered their services and embraced martyrdom for the sake of the nation.

He said free of cost medical facilities will be provided to the families of martyrs in this hospital.

The Prime Minister said such type of new hospitals will also be established in other cities of the country. He said all available resources will be utilized for the welfare of Police force.

Shehbaz Sharif directed the Interior Minister to immediately take steps to make modern Dolphin Force in Islamabad on the model of Turkiye to protect lives of the people. He said merit is sole source for the development of any nation rather than nepotism. 

Earlier the Prime Minister laid floral wreath at the monument of Shuhadah. He also offered Fateha for the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the issues of Martyrs’ families of Islamabad Police are being resolved on priority basis.

He said one billion and 24 million rupees were released for the families of Police Martyrs. He said salaries of Islamabad Police have been increased equal to Punjab Police.

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Education Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, the Inspector General of Islamabad Police Dr Akbar Nasir Khan warmly welcomed the Prime Minister and his cabinet members. He lauded the sacrifices of Police personnel who embraced martyrdom while performing their duties. He thanked the Prime Minister for providing Health and other facilities to the Police force.
