Two soldiers martyred in Balochistan attack laid to rest

Two security personnel, including an officer, have embraced martyrdom while another soldier has been injured during an exchange of fire with terrorists at Balor area in Balochistan.

According to ISPR, a combat patrol of security forces was initiated in general areas of Balor, after credible intelligence with respect to move of a group of terrorists in Hoshab area. The group was linked with firing incidents on security forces and civilians besides planting improvised explosive devices

While establishment of blocking positions to cut the escape routes was underway, a party of terrorists tried to ambush the closing in patrol and opened fire onto security forces.

As a result of heavy exchange of fire, two brave sons of the nation Major Saqib Hussain and Naik Baqir Ali embraced martyrdom while another soldier was injured.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of a Major and a Naib at Balor aera of Balochistan.

In his condemnation statement, he said sacrifices rendered by Security Forces will not go in vain.

He said terrorists will not succeed in their nefarious designs.

The Chief Minister added that People of Balochistan stand with Security Forces to eliminate terrorism forever.

He also expressed sympathy with bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls.

Later Funeral prayers of Major Saqib Hussain and Naik Baqir Ali who embraced shahadat on Sunday in Hoshab area of Balochistan, were offered in Turbat and then at their respective hometowns.

According to ISPR, the Shaheeds sacrificed their lives while gallantly fighting terrorists. They were laid to rest with full military honours.

Senior serving and retired officers, soldiers, relatives and large number of people attended the funerals.

Pakistan Army reiterated its commitment to ensure defence of the motherland at all costs.
