PM directs to ensure safety of tourists on Karakorum Highway

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to ensure safety of tourists on Karakorum Highway during rainy season and all arrangements should be made to prevent accidents.

Advisor on Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Qamar Zaman Kaira presiding over an online meeting at Gilgit today conveyed massage of the Prime Minister that the tourists should be informed about weather conditions and any hardship on the road in advance.

He said Government has decided to deploy Motorway Police on important highways of Gilgit-Baltistan to prevent accidents.
