The Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed has said the government is determined to provide the best facilities to Hajj pilgrims.

Addressing an inaugural ceremony of Bankers Training regarding Hajj portal for Hajj 2024 in Karachi today, he said it is the first time that a significant decrease has been made in the Hajj expenses.

He said that Hajj expenses have been reduced to 10,75000 rupees while negotiations are underway with airlines for reduction in airfare.

The minister stated that the ‘Road to Makkah’ program, a facility being offered by the Saudi government to Hujjaj will be extended to Karachi Airport as it was only limited to Islamabad.

Aneeq Ahmed appreciated the role of banking sector in providing special services every year to the intending pilgrims.
