The Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs, Murtaza Solangi, has said that caretaker government plays a crucial role as a bridge between two elected governments, fostering stability and ensuring the continuation of the democratic process.

Speaking in a PTV program “Vote Pakistan”, he said under Article 218(3) of the Constitution, the caretaker government is committed to providing financial, administrative, and security support to the Election Commission for the smooth conduct of elections. He said every citizen should exercise his right to vote according to his conscience.

The Information Minister said the recent verdict of the Supreme Court related to intra-party elections has established a precedent for other political parties, promoting democracy within their ranks. He said the Election Commission did not take notice of PTI’s intra-party elections, but a complaint was sent to it.

He reiterated his commitment to ensuring equal coverage to all political parties by the state media, and emphasized that Pakistan Television and Radio Pakistan are public institutions operating on taxpayers’ money, expressing solidarity with the people.

The Information Minister underscored the government’s achievements in improving political and economic conditions over the past five months, promising better times ahead for the nation.
