The government is making concerted efforts to elevate women’s roles in society, according to Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Climate Change. As the chief guest on the final day of a five-day training workshop organized by the Women Media Center in Islamabad, Romina Khurshid affirmed the government’s commitment to providing opportunities for women to enhance their skills. She underscored the importance of training in empowering women to overcome various challenges.

Addressing the issue of climate change, Romina Khurshid emphasized the critical role of the media in raising awareness. She asserted that mitigating the adverse effects of climate change is a shared responsibility and called for a heightened sense of accountability within society.

The event also featured Fauzia Shaheen, CEO of the Women Media Center, and Senior Program Assistant Arj Atiq. The workshop saw active participation from young women journalists and media students. Certificates were awarded to participants at the conclusion of the training session.
