The Stars clinched the National Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament title with a commanding 42-run victory over Fatima Sana’s Conquerors in the final match held at the National Bank Stadium on Saturday.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the Stars posted a competitive total of 135 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. Sana Urooj led the charge with a solid 44-run innings, while Howrina Sajjad added a crucial 23 runs to bolster the total.

Conquerors’ bowlers Nashra Sindhu and Mah Noor Aftab each claimed two wickets, helping to contain the Stars’ score.

In response, the Conquerors faltered under pressure and were bowled out for 93 runs in 19.4 overs. Dua Majid was the top scorer for her side, contributing 29 runs in a valiant effort.

The Stars’ bowling attack proved too strong, with Anusha Nasir delivering a standout performance, taking 3 wickets for just 14 runs. Waheeda Akhtar also played a vital role, dismissing two key batters.

Anusha Nasir and Sana Urooj were jointly named Players of the Match for their exceptional all-round performances. Despite the defeat, Conquerors’ captain Fatima Sana was honored with the Player of the Tournament award for her consistent displays throughout the competition.

The tournament’s individual accolades also included Sidra Amin being named Best Batter, Ramin Shamim and Anusha Nasir sharing the Best Bowler title, and Sidra Nawaz earning recognition as Best Wicketkeeper.

The tournament showcased the rising talent in women’s cricket in Pakistan and concluded on a high note, with the Stars celebrating a well-deserved championship victory.
