The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association’s Chairman, Alamgir A. Shaikh, recently held a significant meeting with Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Secretary Sports at the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), at the Pakistan Sports Board Headquarters in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Alamgir A. Shaikh discussed the current needs of the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association and formally requested the release of the Annual and Special Grants to support the growth and operations of the Federation.

The Secretary Sports, Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination, assured full support for the promotion and development of snooker in the country. He further assured the Chairman that the request for grant approval will be presented at the next meeting of the Pakistan Sports Board, with the intent to expedite the process of approval and disbursement.

Alamgir A. Shaikh expressed sincere gratitude to the Secretary for his valuable time and positive response to the Association’s proposals.

Additionally, the Chairman also held a separate meeting with Yasir Pirzada, Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board, at his office in Islamabad. The Chairman raised several long-standing issues and challenges currently being faced by the Association. The Director General attentively listened and assured his full cooperation in resolving the identified problems.

The Chairman expressed optimism about the outcomes of both meetings and reaffirmed the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association’s commitment to advancing cue sports in Pakistan, in close coordination with the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination and the Pakistan Sports Board.
