Mass Wedding Ceremony for 200 Couples Held in Khushab Under “Dhee Rani Programme”

Under the “Dhee Rani Programme” of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a dignified mass wedding ceremony for 200 couples was organized by the Social Welfare Department Khushab.

Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, Sohail Shaukat Butt, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. The event was also attended by MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, MPA Malik Muhammad Asif Bhā, Coordinator of MNA Engineer Malik Gul Asghar Khan Baghour Engineer Malik Tahir Nadeem Baghour, other political leaders, Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jehangzeb Hussain Labar, senior administrative officers, and the relatives and guests of the brides and grooms.

Addressing the ceremony, the Provincial Minister congratulated the newlywed couples and their parents on behalf of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He said that for the first time in the history of Punjab, mass wedding ceremonies are being organized on such a large scale across the province.

He stated that, by the grace of Allah, the government is helping to settle homes and support deserving families. Criticizing the previous government, he said that it only made promises and did not take practical steps for public welfare. Sohail Shaukat Butt further informed that since the beginning of this year, more than one thousand couples have been married under this initiative.

On behalf of the Chief Minister Punjab, the Provincial Minister announced a cash gift of Rs. 200,000 each for every bride and groom. He congratulated the couples, prayed for their prosperous future, and bade them farewell with best wishes.
