District Police Officer (DPO) Mianwali, Waqar Azeem Kharral, attended the Annual Sports Gala held at the University of Mianwali as the chief guest.
Upon his arrival at the university, Vice Chancellor Dr. Nadeem Sheikh, faculty members, and students warmly welcomed him. During the Sports Gala, students enthusiastically participated in various sports competitions and showcased their outstanding abilities, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
In his address, the DPO stated that the youth are a valuable asset of the nation, and their quality education and training form the foundation of national development. He emphasized that along with academic activities, participation in sports plays a vital role in promoting physical health, mental growth, and positive character building among young people.
He further added that sports foster qualities such as discipline, tolerance, and teamwork, while also developing the courage to face both success and failure—traits that are essential for success in practical life.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor presented a commemorative shield to the DPO Mianwali and thanked him for his participation.
