
A dry pre-flood mock exercise was organized by Punjab Emergency Service Khushab at District Council Joharabad to prepare for any potential flood situation. Deputy Commissioner Khushab, Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar, attended the event as the chief guest. District Emergency Officer Rescue, Ali Hussain, welcomed him, while the Rescue staff presented a formal salute.
The exercise was attended by ADCG Sajid Munir Kalyar, AC Khushab Chaudhry Ziaullah, and representatives from the Health Department, Social Welfare Department, PDMA, Livestock Department, Rescue volunteers, and other departments. To ensure preparedness for any emergency situation, various setups including a medical equipment stall, flood equipment stall, rescue and disaster management display, incident command post, and rescue flood relief camps were established.
Addressing the participants, District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain stated that the purpose of the mock exercise was to check all equipment and ensure readiness for emergency situations. Demonstrations were also conducted on CPR techniques for reviving breathing and cardiac arrest victims, along with briefings on rescuing people during flood conditions.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar, along with participants, visited the stalls of Punjab Emergency Service. District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain provided a detailed briefing about the equipment available to deal with flood emergencies. While visiting the stalls of other departments, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that effective communication and full cooperation among all departments are essential during flood rescue operations to ensure timely response and maximum protection of lives and property.
He termed the preparedness of Punjab Emergency Service Khushab for potential flood situations as satisfactory.
