Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to a free, responsible, and vibrant media in Pakistan.
On World Press Freedom Day, he expressed this resolve in a post on X today.
The Minister said Pakistan’s traditional media has long stood as a strong pillar of public trust and democratic values, and during Marka-e-Haq, it played a responsible and patriotic role in informing the world with balance and clarity.
Alongside this, our media is gradually adapting to modern tools and global connectivity, while digital platforms are helping project Pakistan’s true image and potential.
Attaullah Tarar said we value the efforts of journalists and media workers and remain committed to media freedom, responsibility, and a brighter future for all media in Pakistan.
