Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Asim Iftikhar Ahmed says Marka-e-Haq was a defining moment of national strength and strategic clarity.
In a message in connection with first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, he reaffirmed that Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national dignity are sacred and inviolable.
Asim Iftikhar Ahmed said we pay solemn tribute to the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan for their courage, professionalism and exemplary defence of the motherland against unprovoked aggression.
He said Pakistan has always desired peace but peace cannot rest on denial, violation of international law and unilateralism.
Pakistan envoy said durable stability in South Asia requires the peaceful settlement of disputes including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people.
