Under the Youth Affairs Programme of the Government of Punjab, a dignified ceremony was held at the E-Library & Youth Center Sargodha to mark the International Day of Families. The event was attended by Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum Khan, District Sports Officer Saima Manzoor, professors, Vice Chairman of the International Human Rights Movement Chaudhry Zafar Gondal, Deputy General Secretary Division Sargodha Tariq Minhas, Dr. Asia Anwar, In-charge E-Library and Youth Center Sargodha Taimur Hussain Baloch, along with hundreds of male and female students.
During the event, speakers described the establishment of the E-Library as a positive and constructive step for the youth. They said the initiative would facilitate students’ access to modern educational resources and promote a culture of reading and learning.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Asia Anwar highlighted the significance of International Family Day, emphasizing the importance of family bonds, mutual love, and social harmony. She stated that strong families form the foundation of a strong society.
Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum Khan, while addressing the students, said that the E-Library would provide direct access to modern educational facilities and would remain in coordination with the Higher Education Commission. He added that students visiting the center would be provided access to online learning resources and digital learning platforms.
He further announced that efforts would be made to provide laptops and free internet facilities for deserving and underprivileged students so that no student is deprived of education due to lack of resources. He added that the project would play a vital role in equipping youth with modern skills and promoting digital education.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants appreciated the establishment of the E-Library and termed it a welcome and significant step towards the progress and development of the younger generation.
