The government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, bringing some relief to consumers.
According to the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been decreased by Rs5 per litre. After the revision, the new petrol price has been set at Rs409.78 per litre.
Similarly, the price of diesel has also been reduced by Rs5 per litre. Following the cut, the new diesel price now stands at Rs409.58 per litre.
The revised prices are expected to provide partial relief to the public amid ongoing inflationary pressures.
