Pakistan has welcomed the growing signs of recovery and political progress in Syria.
Addressing the UN Security Council briefing on the humanitarian and political situation in Syria, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Asim Iftikhar Ahmad called for sustained UN engagement, stronger international support to close the humanitarian funding gap, and full respect for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
