Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Beijing today after concluding his official engagements in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
Minister of Ecology and Environment of China, Huang Runqiu, received the Prime Minister at Beijing Capital International Airport.
During his visit to Hangzhou, the Prime Minister chaired opening ceremony of third Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference, which focused on charging infrastructure, battery energy storage, solar technologies, and the pharmaceutical sector.
The Prime Minister also held meetings with provincial leaders and senior representatives of leading Chinese companies, including StarCharge, CATL, and Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical, to explore avenues for investment and industrial cooperation. He also visited the headquarters of Alibaba, where he was welcomed by the company’s Executive Chairman Joe Tsai.
During his stay in Beijing, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold high-level meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. These engagements and meetings will focus on further strengthening the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and advancing cooperation under CPEC Phase-II, particularly in trade, investment, industry, agriculture, science and technology, and people-to-people exchanges.
The visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
