Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Aabir, visited various “Suthra Punjab” awareness camps established in Khushab and Jauharabad. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Khushab was also present on the occasion.
During the visit, the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner reviewed the ongoing awareness campaign regarding the safe and proper disposal of sacrificial animal waste during Eid-ul-Adha. They inspected the performance of the camp staff, cleanliness arrangements, facilities being provided to citizens, and awareness material displayed at the camps.
On this occasion, special waste collection bags were distributed among citizens to ensure an effective sanitation system during Eid days and to help protect the environment from pollution. The officers also interacted with residents and highlighted the importance of cleanliness and the need for public cooperation with the district administration.
Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali stated that the objective of the “Suthra Punjab” campaign is to ensure the best cleanliness arrangements in urban and rural areas during Eid-ul-Adha while promoting a sense of civic responsibility among citizens. He directed the concerned departments to ensure the timely disposal of animal waste, the availability of sanitation staff, and the prompt resolution of public complaints.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Aabir said that the district administration is utilizing all available resources to provide exemplary sanitation arrangements during Eid-ul-Adha and, with the cooperation of citizens, aims to maintain a clean and healthy environment throughout the district.
