A flag march was organized under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar and District Police Officer (DPO) Khushab Dr. Ammara Shirazi in connection with the security preparations for Muharram-ul-Haram.
The flag march was attended by personnel from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Punjab Police, Traffic Police, Civil Defence, Rescue 1122, Health Department, WASA, Suthra Punjab, and other relevant departments.
The march commenced from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Khushab and passed through various routes designated for Muharram mourning processions before returning via Jauharabad Road and concluding at the DC Office.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar stated that the purpose of the flag march was to review Muharram preparations and strengthen coordination and security links among all concerned departments. He emphasized that foolproof security arrangements would be ensured on the occasion of Youm-e-Ashura to maintain peace and protect the public.
DPO Dr. Ammara Shirazi said that comprehensive and foolproof security measures had been put in place for all Muharram mourning processions and religious gatherings (Majalis). She added that law enforcement agencies would remain fully vigilant to ensure the safety and security of participants throughout the holy month.
