Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has extended best wishes and prayers for the success of the women who have completed training under the “SEHR” programme.

In a statement today, she said the “Skill Enhancement through Home Reach” (SEHR) programme has been launched to provide women with better opportunities for development and economic empowerment.

The Chief Minister said the purpose of providing vocational training to women at their doorstep is to promote gender equality and increase women’s participation in the skilled labour force.

Under the SEHR programme, women across Punjab will be provided skill-based training from their homes according to market needs.

The programme will cost more than 970 million rupees, under which 5,365 women from remote, semi-urban and urban areas will be trained in beautification services, hospitality, and digital technology.
