Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal, Dr. Haroon Ahmad Shiraz, said during a special media briefing that a detailed inspection of all Category A, B, and C procession and Majlis routes across the tehsil has been completed in preparation for Muharram-ul-Haram. Meetings of the Peace Committee and consultative sessions with license holders have also been held.

He stated that all cleanliness and sanitation arrangements along the routes have been completed, while work is continuing to drain rainwater accumulated due to recent showers. Debris, bricks, and other obstructions have been removed from the routes, and overgrown bushes have been cleared to ensure the smooth passage of mourners.

The Assistant Commissioner further informed that hanging electricity wires along the procession routes have been removed with the cooperation of WAPDA. He added that special camps will be established by Rescue Services, the Suthra Punjab Program, and the Municipal Committee during Muharram-ul-Haram to provide necessary services and respond promptly to any emergencies.
He reaffirmed that all relevant departments are fully mobilized to ensure peaceful observance of Muharram, maintain public safety, and provide essential civic services throughout the period.
