Deputy Commissioner Khushab, Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber, conducted a special visit to review the arrangements for the 9th Muharram processions in various areas of Khushab, including Chhatri Chowk, Purana Chowk, Mohalla Alam Panah, and Darbar Ghore Shah. Assistant Commissioner Khushab, Chaudhry Ziaullah, accompanied him during the visit.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed cleanliness arrangements and assessed security measures, road patchwork, water supply, lighting, medical assistance, and other facilities provided along the procession routes. He expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangements.
Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber stated that, in accordance with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the district administration is committed to ensuring the provision of the best possible security, clean drinking water, adequate lighting, medical aid, and other essential facilities for mourners throughout the district.
He emphasized that providing a peaceful, secure, and well-facilitated environment for mourners during Muharram-ul-Haram remains a top priority of the Punjab Government.
The Deputy Commissioner also issued important instructions to the CEO of the Municipal Committee Khushab regarding arrangements for Ashura to ensure that all necessary measures are implemented effectively.
Later, Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber visited Jauharabad to inspect the procession routes there as well. The Assistant Commissioner Khushab and the CEO of the District Council were also present on the occasion. He directed the concerned officials to complete all arrangements in a timely manner so that mourners do not face any inconvenience during the observance of Muharram.
