Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has said the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has achieved the highest annual cargo handling volume in its one hundred and thirty-eight-year history.
In a statement, he said KPT surpassed its previous all-time cargo handling record of fifty-four point six eight five million tonnes during the current financial year.
The Minister attributed the achievement to enhanced operational efficiency, effective management, and increased port capacity.
Junaid Anwar Chaudhry reaffirmed the government’s commitment to modernising all national ports, attracting investment, and promoting trade activities to support economic growth.
