Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to expedite the completion of Daanish Schools in all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad today regarding the establishment of Daanish Schools and Daanish University in the country.
The Prime Minister said the construction of Daanish Schools nationwide and Daanish University in Islamabad is the best investment for the nation’s bright future. He directed to establish a Tech Campus of Daanish University in Muzaffarabad.
Shehbaz Sharif also instructed that the architectural design of Daanish Schools should reflect the culture and traditions of their respective regions.
Emphasizing merit and transparency, he directed that the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff for Daanish Schools and Daanish University be carried out strictly on merit.
He appreciated the team of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training for the rapid progress made on the construction of Daanish Schools.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on the progress of 27 Daanish Schools being established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Islamabad, as well as the construction of Daanish University in Islamabad.
The meeting was informed that the construction of the Daanish School in Kuri, Islamabad, has been completed and academic activities have already commenced.
It was further informed that the Daanish Schools in Bagh, Bhimber, Sultanabad, Ghanche, and Astore are nearing completion, with classes expected to begin in April next year.
The meeting was informed that the recruitment process for faculty members at Daanish University has begun.
It was said that academic activities at Daanish University will commence in 2027, with admissions to be offered strictly on merit to students from across the country, particularly those belonging to underdeveloped areas.
