Medical Social Officer Nadia Shah met with Wahid Khan, Superintendent of District Jail Sargodha, to discuss initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and well-being of inmates.
The meeting focused on organizing a medical camp inside the jail and conducting counseling sessions on mental health, drug abuse prevention, healthy living, and general health awareness. Both officials emphasized the importance of providing prisoners with quality healthcare services and psychological support to promote their overall well-being.
Following the meeting, Medical Social Officer Nadia Shah visited the female inmates at the jail and conducted an extensive counseling session. She educated them about mental health, the harmful effects of drug abuse, the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and the value of developing a positive mindset.
The female prisoners actively participated in the session, showing keen interest by asking various questions, all of which were answered comprehensively.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such awareness programs, counseling sessions, and medical camps in the future to promote the physical and mental health of inmates and support their rehabilitation and successful reintegration into society.
