Following reports circulating on social media regarding a possible fuel shortage, Assistant Commissioner Noorpur Thal Shazia Rahman promptly took action. Accompanied by Para Force teams, she visited various petrol pumps across the tehsil to review the availability, supply, and sale of petrol and diesel.
During the inspection, Para Force officials confirmed that all petrol pumps in Tehsil Noorpur Thal had been checked. They reported that ample stocks of both petrol and diesel were available and that fuel was being supplied to consumers without interruption. They clarified that there is currently no shortage of petrol or diesel anywhere in the tehsil.
Officials further explained that the recent rush at some petrol stations was due to public concerns over possible fuel price increases, prompting many motorists to fill their vehicle tanks as a precaution. However, they emphasized that the fuel supply chain remains fully operational and that there is no need for panic buying or unnecessary stockpiling.
Assistant Commissioner Shazia Rahman urged citizens not to pay attention to unverified information circulating on social media and advised them to rely only on official sources for accurate updates. She assured the public that the administration is closely monitoring the situation to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability and to prevent any inconvenience.
She also stated that if any citizen experiences difficulty in obtaining petrol or diesel at any filling station or has a related complaint, they should immediately contact the Assistant Commissioner Office, Noorpur Thal, at 0454-850265, where prompt action will be taken.
Public, social, and business circles appreciated the Assistant Commissioner’s timely response, field inspections, and efforts to clarify the actual situation. They praised her proactive approach and commended her commitment to safeguarding the public from misinformation and unnecessary concern.
