Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says PTI founder’s sister, Noreen Niazi, has triggered widespread public anger with her remarks.
Addressing a public gathering in Lahore today, he said Noreen Niazi’s statements were highlighted by the Indian media.
The Minister said Pakistan’s integrity and national interests are paramount. He alleged that some elements seek to malign the country’s image for political gains. He said they have never criticized the issues facing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He added that the politics of negative tactics pursued by the PTI has come to an end.
Attaullah Tarar said those who attempt to defame Pakistan have always faced disgrace. He said history will always remember Noreen Niazi’s attempt to malign the country’s image.
He expressed confidence that Pakistan is moving steadily on the path of development. He said Pakistan’s dignity and international standing continue to rise and that this journey of progress will continue.
The Minister emphasized that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz believes in the politics of public service and remains committed to the country’s progress and prosperity.
He said the women leaders of the PML-N have always given priority to serving the people, while every party worker firmly believes in Pakistan’s development. He appreciated the dedication of party workers for standing by the party in difficult times and expressed gratitude for the respect and support they have shown him.
Referring to the Kashmir issue, Attaullah Tarar said the slogan of the Kashmiri people is “Kashmir Banega Pakistan.” He said the hearts of Kashmiris across the world beat for Pakistan, and the sacrifices of those who migrated from Kashmir will always be remembered.
The Information Minister said the patriotism of Kashmiri migrants would not be allowed to be questioned. He vowed that every conspiracy against the Kashmir cause, as well as attempts to incite violence and unrest, would be foiled.
He also described the upcoming elections in Kashmir as highly significant.
