A meeting of the Steering Committee on wheat-related matters was held in Islamabad today with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair.
The meeting reviewed wheat availability and requirements in light of the demands of the provinces.
The Committee reiterated its decision to import 1 million tonnes of wheat to meet domestic requirements, ease price pressures and provide relief to the public.
