The Sindh government will launch the pilot phase of the Facial Recognition Attendance Monitoring and Evaluation System for teaching and non-teaching staff in six districts of the province tomorrow.
According to a statement issued by the Sindh School Education Department, the districts include Karachi East, Hyderabad, Naushehro Feroze, Jacobabad, Ghotki and Umerkot.
In the pilot phase, the attendance of about fifty thousand teaching and non-teaching staff members in educational institutions in these districts will be monitored through the system.
The teaching and non-teaching staff will also be able to submit leave applications through the app from home, with approvals processed online.
