A meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Khushab, Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber. The meeting reviewed in detail complaints received through the CM Portal and online platforms, along with other administrative matters.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Laber said that a committee had been constituted to ensure the prompt resolution of public complaints received through the CM Portal, online platforms and various departments of the district administration. The committee would provide timely responses and make positive, merit-based decisions to ensure relief and justice for citizens.
The meeting also reviewed enforcement of traffic laws, crackdowns against illegal petrol pumps and smuggled petroleum products, illegal LPG decanting, inspection of major highways, action against non-custom-paid vehicles, begging, encroachments, smuggling and electricity theft.
Briefings were also given by the concerned departments on the registration of religious seminaries, public issues and other administrative matters.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the district administration and all relevant departments to work in a coordinated manner to ensure strict implementation of the law. He ordered indiscriminate action against illegal petrol pumps, illegal LPG decanting, smuggling, encroachments and other unlawful activities.
He said that protecting the lives and property of citizens and providing them with a clean, safe and well-organized environment were among the top priorities of the district administration. Effective measures should also be taken to prevent traffic violations on major highways and create awareness among citizens about compliance with traffic laws.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Social Services Ghazala Kanwal, heads of law-enforcement agencies and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
