In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have launched a massive cordon and search operation in Kishtwar district of Jammu region, subjecting the residents to severe harassment.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops laid a siege around Cherji, Chicha, Padyarna and other areas of the district and launched searches. The locals said that the troops barged into their houses and terrorized the inmates including women and children.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued in Srinagar, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman strongly denounced the nefarious move of India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency pleading the Delhi High Court for sentencing to death the illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik.
The JKLF in a statement said that in order to regain the declining political ground in India, the ruling communal Bharatiya Janata Party is hell bent upon punishing Yasin Malik for his political beliefs.
A protest rally was also held in Muzaffarabad, on Saturday, to protest against the continued illegal detention of Yasin Malik and other Hurriyat leaders.
The participants of the rally organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir urged the international human rights organizations to play their role in release of all Kashmiri political prisoners.
