Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized to further strengthening economic, trade, investment, agricultural and people-to-people cooperation with Canada.

He was talking to Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Tarik Ali Khan in Islamabad today.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the positive trajectory of Pak-Canada relations and ongoing high-level engagement. He also acknowledged the important role of Pakistani diaspora in promoting bilateral ties.

The Canadian High Commissioner thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for support in facilitating import of Canadian Canola into Pakistan. He also noted the progress of work by Barrick Gold on the Reko Diq Project and willingness of other Canadian companies to invest in Pakistan.
