
Prominent US journal, The Carolina Political Review says Pakistan has restored its strategic importance by utilizing effective diplomacy and defense capability.
In an article, the journal acknowledges the wisdom of Pakistani leadership in gaining recognition in the world.
The Journal details that India-Pakistan war in May this year proved Pakistan’s defense capability and strengthened its international position.
The journal highlights that the war also gave a new direction to Pak-US relations and restored Washington’s trust in Pakistan due to Islamabad’s effective diplomacy.
It says the United States has given centrality to Pakistan’s geographical importance by declaring it a key bridge between South Asia, the Gulf and Central Asia.
The Journal mentions the Trump administration’s National Security Strategy issued last month which terms Pakistan as a key ally of the United States.
It points out that Pakistan has opened new economic avenues based on national interest by maintaining multilateral balance along with CPEC.
