
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi says establishing peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is top priority and the Federal Government is ready to extend all out support to the provincial government in this regard.
He expressed these views while meeting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, the two sides held discussions in detail on law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Matters related to security measures in the border areas of the province and ongoing operations against Khawarij also came under discussions during the meeting.
The two sides also discussed expanding the scope of facilities of NADRA and Passport offices in Dera Ismail Khan.
The Interior Minister appreciated the sacrifices of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the fight against terrorism. He said Fitna al-Khawarij and its facilitators are being eliminated by taking collective measures. He expressed the government’s resolve to not to spare the Khawarij at any cost.
During the meeting, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor apprised the Interior Minister about the security challenges being faced by the province.
Faisal Karim Kundi, while terming the cooperation of the Federation for establishing law and order in the province as essential, also stressed the need of joint and coordinated measures to stamp out terrorism.
