
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari have strongly condemned the reported targeting of the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, warning that such incidents pose a serious threat to peace and stability.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz said the alleged attack constitutes a heinous act and a grave danger to regional and global security, particularly at a time when efforts toward peace are underway. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm rejection of all forms of violence and expressed solidarity with the President of the Russian Federation, as well as the government and people of Russia.
Separately, President Asif Ali Zardari voiced deep concern over the reports, cautioning that such actions risk undermining ongoing efforts for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. He urged all sides to exercise maximum restraint and to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy.
The President emphasized that peace remains the only viable path forward, stressing that responsibility and restraint are essential to prevent further escalation.
