Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said new security features will be introduced in passports to prevent forgery.
He was speaking during his visit to the Beijing Public Security Passport Bureau.
Director General Sun Yu welcomed the Minister upon his arrival.
The Interior Minister observed various sections of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau and reviewed China’s passport making and immigration system.
Mohsin Naqvi was given a detailed briefing on immigration policies and the complete stages of passport processing, from application to printing.
The Interior Minister commended the usefulness, effectiveness, and speed of China’s entry-exit system and said Pakistan has also developed a fast and foolproof passport and immigration system.
Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan’s modern entry-exit control system is also being developed along the lines of the Beijing model.
