Pakistan, UAE Presidents discuss measures to strengthen ties

President Asif Ali Zardari held a meeting with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed all aspects of bilateral cooperation and discussed measures to further strengthen the long-standing and brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
They explored new opportunities in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, technology and people-to-people contacts, and highlighted the strong potential for expanding economic and strategic partnership.
Regional and international developments also came under discussion. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to promoting peace, stability and sustainable development.
President Asif Ali Zardari underscored the importance of the recent visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Pakistan.
First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE were also present during the meeting.
