World Bank President Mr. Ajay Pal Singh Banga paid a special visit to the historic Gurdwara Guru Sri Singh Sabha located in Khushab. On this occasion, the distinguished guests were accorded a warm and gracious welcome. Member Provincial Assembly Malik Muhammad Asif Bhah warmly received Mr. Ajay Pal Singh Banga and Mrs. Ajay Pal Singh Banga, presenting them with traditional shawls as a gesture of hospitality.
The Khushab Police made exceptionally strict and foolproof security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and secure visit. In view of the World Bank President’s visit, Khushab Police, the district administration, and all relevant departments remained fully alert. A heavy contingent of security personnel was deployed in and around the Gurdwara, while strict monitoring was maintained at all entry and exit points.
During the visit, Mr. Ajay Pal Singh Banga appreciated the historical and religious significance of the Gurdwara and emphasized the promotion of interfaith harmony. He also expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements made by the administration.
The special visit of the World Bank President proved to be a significant and memorable moment in the history of Khushab. This dignified visit of international importance not only highlighted the district’s reputation but also set an excellent example of administrative capability, governance, and coordinated strategy.
Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Khushab, Jehangzeb Labbur, the district administration ensured exemplary arrangements, executing every phase in a highly professional manner. From welcoming the guests to organizing the program, providing facilities, and maintaining overall discipline, remarkable coordination was observed, clearly reflecting successful planning.
District Police Officer (DPO) Khushab, Amara Shirazi, also ensured peace and order through effective leadership and a comprehensive security strategy. The police force demonstrated vigilance and responsibility, performing their duties with dedication.
Similarly, the services of District Security Officer Shah Khalid were highly commendable, as he played a vital role in the success of the arrangements through devotion and a strong sense of duty. Rescue 1122 Khushab, the Para Force, Traffic Police, Municipal Committee Khushab, and the heads of all other departments also worked tirelessly to make the visit successful.
It is noteworthy that Khushab is a land where natural beauty and historical heritage have coexisted in harmony since time immemorial. Situated among serene lakes, fertile plains, towering plateaus, and golden desert landscapes, Khushab stands as a living picture of Pakistan’s natural beauty and resilience. Khushab is internationally recognized for its famous salt, delicious and aromatic oranges, and its traditional sweets—Dhodha and Pateesa—which symbolize the region’s cultural heritage and craftsmanship passed down through generations.
