A crime review meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Police Officer (DPO) Khushab, Dr. Ammara Shirazi. The meeting was attended by SDPOs and SHOs from across the district.
Addressing the participants, the DPO directed that all under-investigation cases be resolved strictly on merit and that action on all applications be completed within the stipulated time. She emphasized that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the foremost responsibility of the police, and officers must remain vigilant at all times to fulfill this duty.
Dr. Ammara Shirazi instructed the officers to ensure strict enforcement of the ban on the display of weapons and to take firm legal action against criminal elements. She further directed that citizens visiting police stations must be treated with courtesy and respect, and that the use of harsh language, misconduct, or humiliating behavior during duty would not be tolerated. Public complaints, she added, should be heard with patience, seriousness, and addressed promptly.
The DPO made it clear that illegal detention and the operation of torture cells would not be tolerated under any circumstances. She also ordered that security at religious places, including Imambargahs, mosques, and churches, be made foolproof. Furthermore, she stressed the need to ensure effective action regarding the arrest and registration of proclaimed offenders.
