President of District Press Club Jauharabad, Abdul Wahab Chughtai, met Deputy Director Information Officer Khushab, Raja Asim Iqbal, at the Information Office Jauharabad.
The Deputy Director Information Officer welcomed President District Press Club Jauharabad Abdul Wahab Chughtai and said that the media and the Information Office share a longstanding and strong relationship, and both sides should handle their matters mutually and responsibly.
He stated that the Information Office conveys only verified and factual news to the public on a daily basis. This includes coverage of public welfare initiatives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the Government of Punjab, particularly in the sectors of health, sanitation, clean water, public relief programs, development schemes, and projects. The office also ensures regular coverage of the daily activities, events, and visits of the district administration.
He further added that the Information and Culture Department, in collaboration with the media, is playing a positive role in the district and is working with better coordination alongside the administration and all departments.
On this occasion, President District Press Club Jauharabad Abdul Wahab Chughtai said that District Press Club Jauharabad and District Electronic Media Club Jauharabad will continue to extend full cooperation and play a constructive role. He emphasized that capable and serious individuals should be allowed to manage journalistic affairs. He also stressed that unnecessary news should be discouraged, journalists must not be defamed, interference in journalistic work should be stopped immediately, and individuals who have no connection with journalism should be restrained.
The Deputy Director Information Officer assured that those who have no affiliation with journalism should correct their conduct; otherwise, strict legal action will be taken against them.
