Ramadan: A Month of Mercy, Blessings, and Spiritual Growth

Former Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, District Khushab, Advocate Muhammad Waris Jasra, said that the holy month of Ramadan is a period of mercy, blessings, and forgiveness, teaching Muslims the values of piety, patience, and compassion. He made these remarks while addressing a public gathering in Pilowains.

Advocate Jasra emphasized that Ramadan offers an excellent opportunity for self-purification and self-accountability. He explained that fasting is not merely about abstaining from hunger and thirst, but is a comprehensive training system that cultivates endurance, discipline, and a sense of responsibility in individuals.

He urged people to engage in more acts of worship, recitation of the Holy Quran, and remembrance of Allah during this blessed month. He also called on the affluent to generously support poor and needy families, thereby promoting unity and brotherhood in society.

Advocate Jasra further stated that Ramadan encourages truthfulness, honesty, and justice. He noted that if people understand the true spirit of Ramadan and apply it in their lives, society can become a center of peace, harmony, and love. He prayed that Allah grants everyone the ability to fully benefit from the blessings of Ramadan and live their lives in accordance with Islamic teachings.
