A meeting of the Divisional Peace Committee was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali. The meeting was attended by RPO Sargodha Range Shehzad Asif Khan, Deputy Commissioners, DPOs, officers of law enforcement agencies, and religious scholars from various schools of thought.
In view of the current situation in Iran and Afghanistan, the meeting reviewed security arrangements across the division. The Commissioner and the RPO urged religious scholars to promote unity, tolerance, and harmony, and to educate the public against rumors being spread on social media.
Special instructions were issued to maintain discipline and ensure strict compliance with the law on the occasion of Youm-e-Hazrat Ali (A.S.).
Leaders of the Shia community assured the administration that all programs would remain peaceful and that full cooperation would continue.
The meeting concluded with prayers for the safety and prosperity of the country and the success of the armed forces of Pakistan.
